London To Become Centre of the Freight World
by Press Release on 2011-12-20
Freightbook Ltd has officially launched the new Freightbook Summit, which will take place from 25-26 August 2012 in London at the Hilton Metropole, one of Europe's largest hotel and conference centres. The growing online directory www.freightbook.net currently promotes 600+ freight agents in 130+ countries.
With more than 13 years’ experience organising international networking events, Freightbook management are aware that face to face meetings are integral in developing and securing new business. Managing Director, Rachel Humphrey and her team have recently organised meetings for Project Cargo Network in London, Universal Freight Organisation in Hong Kong and many more over the years (view).
Freightbook are one of the first organisers to introduce ‘no nonsense’ freight networking, with no membership fees or obligations. The event will have no speakers, sponsors or sales gimmicks.
Rachel Humphrey (pictured) states "The Freightbook Summit will literally be a room full of CEOs/Senior Managers from all over the world networking with no disruptions or distractions. Our attendees are looking to increase their business by either referring one another or by doing business directly with one another. Freightbook promotes the strong principles of Know, Like and Trust because when these 3 values are reached, you are likely to secure quality recommendations that turn into profitable business. After all, who would confidently recommend agents that they have never met to their important customers?
Considering that Freightbook agents each have an average of 250 personal contacts and with an expected attendance of 100 - that is a potential of 250,000 contacts available through our networking summit. We aim to help our attendees to increase their profits and build strong partnerships that last for years. It is far more cost-effective to have loyal overseas partners that keep using your company than trying to find new ones month in and month out."
Most Freightbook advertisers are privately-owned independent companies who focus on providing a personal service that is tailored to client’s needs. Each company can provide comprehensive logistics solutions through their experienced staff who have an in-depth understanding of their local market.
Rachels adds "We hope to provide new opportunities and business to those companies who are battling the current economic crisis. Attending the Freightbook Summit means that attendees will be well placed and well connected to capitalise on the logistics requirements required by companies whose projects that were canceled and delayed during the 2008 crisis, return over the next 12 months."
